MAPLE CRUSTED PECANS
Maple Sugar Nuts
½ Cup melted butter (1 Stick)
3 Large egg whites
3/4 cup maple sugar
¼ Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 Cups Nuts (Pecans, Walnuts, Almonds)
Mix ¼ cup maple sugar and ¼ teaspoon salt.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Line baking cookie sheet with parchment paper. Pour
melted butter onto the lined sheet. In a bowl, mix the egg whites, 3/4 cup maple sugar, salt
and cinnamon. Add the nuts and toss until fully coated. Spread the nuts onto the baking sheet.
Bake for 25 minutes, stirring every 7 minutes. Remove from the oven and immediately shake the ¼ cup maple sugar mixed with ¼ tsp. salt over top of the nuts. Cool on the baking sheet and store in an airtight container. Enjoy!!
