🍓 Wood’s Berry Washing Guide

Keep your berries clean, fresh, and critter-free — the Vermont way.

Whether you're picking blueberries in Vermont or cherries down South, it’s always a good idea to clean your fruit before snacking or baking. Here's our go-to method to keep your berries fresh, clean, and critter-free:

🧼 How to Soak Berries & Cherries

  1. Fill a large bowl with 4 cups cold water.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of salt or white vinegar.
  3. Gently add your berries or cherries to the bowl.
  4. Let them soak for 5–10 minutes.
  5. Drain, rinse well, and gently pat dry.

💡 Helpful Tips:

  • Works great for blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and cherries.
  • Always rinse well after soaking to remove any leftover salt or vinegar flavor.
  • Let your fruit dry completely before storing, freezing, or baking.
