This delicious Italian Strata is a great casserole on its own, but top it with your favorite Wood's Maple Syrup and this dish is a home run!

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground Italian sausage
- 10 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 4 cups cubed bread
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 cup of chopped fresh or thawed frozen spinach, drained
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup halved grape tomatoes

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350° F and grease a 9”x13” baking dish with butter.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add sausage and cook, breaking up large pieces with a spoon, until golden, about 7 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and milk and season with salt and pepper.
- Gently fold in bread, 1 cup of cheese, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, and cooked sausage.
- Pour mixture into prepared baking dish.
- Top with the remaining 1 cup cheese and bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until the cheese is golden and no liquid remains.
