If you're feeling the pangs of age or even if you want to incorporate some super powerful anti-inflammatories into your diet. It's Maple Rosehips to the rescue!
Rosehip Tea: Rosehip tea is an herbal infusion made from the dried fruit of the wild rose plant. It's known for its vibrant reddish hue and distinct tart flavor. This tea is renowned for its rich nutritional profile, being a potent source of essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
Key Nutrients in Rosehip Tea:
Vitamin C: Rosehips are exceptionally high in vitamin C, providing a significant boost to the immune system. This powerful antioxidant supports collagen production, aids in iron absorption, and contributes to overall skin health.
Vitamin A: Another vital antioxidant, vitamin A, is found in rosehips. It supports healthy vision, skin health, and boosts the immune system.
Vitamin E: This fat-soluble vitamin acts as an antioxidant, protecting cells from damage. It also supports immune function and contributes to healthy skin and eyes.
Flavonoids and Polyphenols: These are powerful antioxidants that help combat oxidative stress, inflammation, and promote overall heart health.
Minerals: Rosehips contain essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium, contributing to bone health and overall bodily function.
Maple Syrup: Maple syrup is a natural sweetener made from the sap of sugar maple trees. Unlike refined sugars, it contains various beneficial nutrients.
Key Nutrients in Maple Syrup:
Manganese: Maple syrup is an excellent source of manganese, which is essential for bone health, blood clotting, and metabolism.
Riboflavin (Vitamin B2): This B-vitamin supports energy production, metabolism, and the maintenance of healthy skin and vision.
Zinc: Maple syrup contains trace amounts of zinc, which is crucial for immune function, wound healing, and DNA synthesis.
Calcium and Potassium: These minerals are important for maintaining healthy blood pressure, muscle function, and bone health.
Nutritional Benefits of Rosehip Tea with Maple Syrup:
When combined, rosehip tea and maple syrup create a flavorful and nutritious beverage. The infusion of rosehips provides a potent dose of antioxidants, particularly vitamin C, supporting immune function and skin health. The addition of maple syrup brings natural sweetness and a modest nutritional boost, including manganese and riboflavin.
Note: While both rosehip tea and maple syrup offer valuable nutrients, it's important to consume them in moderation as part of a balanced diet. Additionally, individuals with specific dietary needs or medical conditions should consult a healthcare professional for personalized nutrition advice.

Cook Time
15 minutes

Ingredients
- ½ teaspoon Rosehip powder or whole Rosehips (This is a starting dose and can increase to 1 teaspoon. Rosehips often require a loading dose so daily consumption will increase its pain-relieving effects)
- 1 teaspoon Maple Syrup (You choose but we like the Bourbon!)
- Squeeze of lemon if you like
Directions
Boil 8 oz. of water.
Add powdered rosehips directly to hot water and let boil for 5 minutes or so. If using whole dried hips you can use a steeper ball and boil for 10 minutes or add it loose and strain (I drink mine using powdered and don't bother straining).
Let the tea cool a little and add your favorite maple syrup and a squeeze of lemon if you like.
