Ingredients
-
1 (16 oz.) bag egg noodles
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 2 cans Campbell’s tomato soup
- 2 cans Campbell’s cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup
-
3 tablespoons Wood’s Maple Sugar
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 lb. sliced American cheese
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350° F.
Egg noodles —
- In a large pot, boil water to prepare egg noodles. Cook as directed.
When the noodles are cooked to your liking, drain and add them back to the pot, then mix in 2 cans of concentrated cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup, stirring well.
Beef —
- In a medium-sized skillet, brown the ground beef.
- Add spices, maple sugar, and tomato soup (concentrated from the can) and stir well.
The Build —
Spoon a layer of your meat mixture in a large, deep casserole dish, spreading evenly. Top with a layer of sliced American cheese.
- Next, spoon a layer of the noodle mixture on top, spreading evenly.
- Top the noodles with another layer of American cheese.
- Next, add another layer of your meat mixture, repeating the process until you come to the top of your casserole dish. The last layer should be a noodle layer. How many layers you do will depend on the depth of your casserole dish.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes until it begins to bubble and the noodles on top begin to brown.
