Ingredients
Crust ―
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
-
¾ cup packed Wood's Maple Sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
Filling —
- 3 large eggs
-
½ cup Wood's Maple Syrup
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
-
¼ cup granulated Wood’s Maple Sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups coarsely chopped nuts
Directions
Crust —
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Grease a 9”x 13” baking pan.
Line with parchment paper so that the ends overhang by a couple of inches on the two short ends.
To make the crust, whisk together flour, Wood’s Maple Sugar, and salt.
Add butter and mix using a pastry blender or a fork until combined. The mixture will be crumbly but will hold together when pinched.
Press the crust mixture evenly into a prepared pan.
Bake for 15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Set aside.
Filling —
Place eggs in a large bowl and beat lightly. Add maple syrup, butter, maple sugar, and salt, stirring until combined. Stir in nuts.
Pour filling over partially baked crust.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the filling is set.
Cool bars to room temperature in the pan.
Using the overhanging parchment paper, lift the bars onto a cutting board and cut them into bars.
